We Care Because You Care
At Ark Animal Care we are constantly educating ourselves on the latest breakthroughs and advances in veterinary medicine so we can provide our patients with the best care possible. We do more than just keep your pet healthy – we strive to preserve and strengthen the bond between you and your beloved companion.
Which means we continually go the extra mile for our patients. For instance, we don’t select a vaccine because it’s the cheapest available – we rely on scientific studies involving hundreds or thousands of pets just like yours to choose the options that are safest for your animal companion. When a pet undergoes surgery under our care, one of our technicians sits with the pet while they’re coming out of anesthesia until they’re fully awake and completely recovered.
We treat your pet like we treat our own – because we understand firsthand what it means to have a bond with your animal best friend.

Wellness Exams
We consider an annual wellness exam to be a very important part of your pet’s wellness program. Because our animal companions age much more quickly than we do, an annual exam helps us catch problems early so we have more treatment options to help them live happy and healthy lives.
Vaccines
Our vaccine protocols are based on the latest research and tailored to your pet using a benefit/risk formula. You can work with your technician and the doctor to develop a plan that is right for your pets.
Spay & Neuter
Spaying or neutering your pet may hold many benefits beyond the obvious. It solves 90% of marking issues and can reduce or eliminate behavior issues such as howling and/or aggression. Studies have shown that it dramatically reduces the risk of certain cancers and may even increase your pet’s lifespan.
Surgery
Our skilled surgeons perform a wide range of surgeries, from routine surgeries such as spays and neuters to procedures to preserve the life or improve the health of your pet. When orthopedic surgeries are necessary, we have a strong relationship with an exceptional orthopedic surgeon who performs the procedures at Ark Animal Care – so your pet receives the very best treatment without having to travel out of the area.
Nutrition
Just as they are in humans, numerous conditions and diseases can be linked to, or treated with, diet in our pets. We’ll work with you to offer recommendations on commercial available foods and develop a therapeutic diet for your pet’s specific needs including weight loss.
Dental
We believe dentistry is a vital part of keeping our cats and dogs healthy. Have you every had a toothache? Our pets get them too. Undiagnosed dental issues can create pain and inflammation resulting in your pet sleeping more, hiding, and playing less. It can be amazing how significantly better pets feel shortly after having their dentistry brought up to date.
Parasite Prevention
None of us are strangers to mosquito bites. Just imagine what our pets are exposed to in the course of their day. Many of these parasites are harmful to our animal companions – and some can be harmful to us as well if not taken care of. Let us come up with a plan to keep your four-legged friends parasite-free.
Diagnostics
With our own lab onsite, we can run many tests (chemistry profiles, CBC, urinalysis, heart worm testing, Leukemia/AIDS testing, thyroid testing, etc.) to help create a plan to improve or maintain your pet’s health. When more advanced testing is required, we contract with local laboratories with very fast turn-around times.
We are also equipped with our own radiology department to aid us in diagnosing disease and/or injury, provide information when dealing with mysterious symptoms, to evaluate for pregnancy, or do testing related to OFA certification.
Euthanasia
Should your beloved animal friend reach a point where they are suffering with no hope of recovery, we’re here for you. One of our doctors will help you evaluate your pet’s quality of life and, should it be time to let them go, we will offer dignity and compassion to you and your pet as you both say goodbye.
